D & B Flat Roofing Terms & Conditions
1. GENERAL
Acceptance of a quotation or instruction to proceed with works from D & B Flat Roofing (“the Contractor”) constitutes full acceptance of the following Terms & Conditions.
2. DEFINITIONS
“Contractor” refers to D & B Flat Roofing.
“Customer” refers to the person, company, or organisation instructing the works.
“Works” refers to the roofing services described in the quotation or agreed instruction.
“Contract” refers to any agreement formed by acceptance of a quotation or instruction to proceed.
3. QUOTATION VALIDITY
All quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. After this period, prices may be subject to review or adjustment.
4. BASIS OF QUOTATION
a. All pricing is based on normal working hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm) unless stated otherwise.
b. Any additional works or variations requested by the customer will be quoted separately or charged at agreed rates.
c. Quotations assume reasonable access to the property and standard site conditions.
d. Unless stated, quotations exclude unforeseen structural issues, additional timber work, or hidden defects discovered during works.
e. Waste disposal is included unless otherwise stated.
5. GUARANTEE & WARRANTY
a. D & B Flat Roofing provides a 15-year guarantee on materials supplied and installed as part of the roofing system, unless stated otherwise.
b. A 1-year workmanship (labour) warranty is provided from the date of completion.
c. The guarantee covers material failure and installation defects only.
d. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by storm, structural movement, poor maintenance, or third-party interference.
e. Any remedial work must be carried out by D & B Flat Roofing for the guarantee to remain valid.
6. INSURANCE & RESPONSIBILITY
The Contractor maintains public liability insurance. Responsibility for existing structures and contents remains with the Customer unless directly caused by proven negligence of the Contractor.
7. COMPLETION TIMES
Completion dates are estimates only. The Contractor will not be liable for delays caused by weather conditions, supplier issues, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
8. PAYMENT TERMS
a. Payment is due upon completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
b. Deposits may be required for materials prior to commencement.
c. Late payments may result in suspension of work or additional charges.
d. All materials remain the property of D & B Flat Roofing until full payment is received.
9. LIABILITY
D & B Flat Roofing is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including interior damage caused by pre-existing roof failures or unforeseen defects unless caused by proven negligence.
10. DISPUTES
Any disputes will be handled in a fair and reasonable manner. If unresolved, both parties agree to seek resolution through mediation.
11. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms & Conditions form the full agreement between D & B Flat Roofing and the Customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
